Have Some DimSums in February! DIY Video

Can you believe we’re already a month into 2017? This February we’ve got lots lined up at our restaurants and hotels across South India – we’re celebrating Valentine’s Day, we’ve got a host of interesting packages, and some new menu launches too.

This is also the month where we’re highlighting an interesting cooking technique – steaming. This super healthy method that uses heat from steam (by boiling water) to cook food, has been used across cultures and cuisines for thousands of years. Steaming means your food can stay crunchy, retain its essential nutrients, be low in fat, and preserve textures and beautiful natural colours too!

At Steam & Whistles, our 1920s inspired gastropub at Grand Chennai by GRT Hotels, our menu serves up a delicious range of steamed dimsums. Go on and make your reservations, and try this easy DIY at home in the meantime!
